Ena – Essential charm outlined in black and white

Ena, from Osaka, Japan, is a young fashion designer with much talent. She draws inspiration from traditional minimalist silhouette painting of his folk, but also from modern manga, aside of that already old trend in European –mainly French– fashion design, coming from Art Deco (which in turn, had one of its important roots in Japanese visual arts).

I have selected a few among the best illustrations by Ena. (I ignore the precise dates of most of them, but as far as I know, they are all made between 2002 and a few years ago.)

(By the way, the first one, which I show on the header (from March 2006 and made for Macpower Ltd., a brand of lingerie, underwear and indoor clothing), reassures me in the belief that the flared short skirt is the epitome of all cute and sexy feminine clothing; the perfect attire for a nice bottom and some nice legs.)
